Here at Indian Springs we are in the best condition ever as a result of the many projects we have taken on over the last few years. Ten tee complexes have been rebuilt, and we have converted bent grass fairways to Quickstand Bermuda grass. We have also undergone an extensive fairway drainage project. The construction of a 5,000 square foot U.S.G.A. practice putting green is now complete and in use. Other projects include our continuation of landscaping and beautification plans.

At Indian Springs we are diligent in being pro-environmental. With our conversion to bermuda grass fairways, we have been able to eliminate 95% of our chemical applications as well as reduce our water needs by 70%. Plus, with this conversion, carts are allowed to travel on our fairways without doing damage. With the drainage system we ave installed, golfers can take carts off the pathways the day after a 1/2 inch rain fall. We have also stocked our lakes and ponds with grass carp and Japanese Koi. This stocking of our waters has also eliminated the need for harmful chemicals. Wildlife is seen by our golfers every day and includes deer, mink, wildcats, raccoons, squirrels, redwing hawks, a variety of waterfowl and many other native species.

Sincerely,
John Peck
Superintendent
